When Larry Eddings founded j330, the mission was clear:
"I desire to reach the lost by effectively proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to all races of people in a bold(Acts 4:29), unashamed (Romans 1:16), and determined fashion. I want to help all believers deepen their relationship with Him and strive to live a fulfilling life in Jesus Christ."

If you have ever sat under the preaching of Larry Eddings, there is no doubt you have felt the true power of the Holy Spirit working with and reaching out to every listener. Larry has been anointed with grace and power from on high for his calling: bringing the lost into the kingdom while there is still time. He will tell you his life was not always this way.
Even though he was a Sunday School teacher and attended church services regularly, he often tells his listeners it was mostly from a sense of duty. He has coached basketball since his graduation from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Along with teaching school, he will tell you that winning and being looked up to were priorities in his life. He calls it the “Me First Syndrome.”
Then he truly met the One of whom he taught in Sunday School and it caused a 360 degree turn in his life. The Holy Spirit called him to the altar, and once there, he could not leave. He lay prostrate at the altar for hours in deep conversation with God. He had a personal, one on one experience with his Lord, and God chose that particular time to anoint him with the power of the Holy Spirit. God never sends anyone to do a task that He does not first equip them with all they need to carry out His mission.
It can best be voiced in the hymn by Daniel Schutte, Here I am, Lord:
I the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard My people cry,
All who dwell in deepest sin, My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright,
Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I sent?
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard Your calling in the night.
I will go Lord, If You lead me, I will hold Your people in My heart.

From that day forward, he has placed himself in the “servant” position, going wherever God calls him to bring the word. He says that in the hours he lay at that altar, he died to Larry, man of the world, and emerged as Larry, God’s warrior.
Larry is truly a leader in this Gideon Generation, relying only on the Word of God and the Holy Spirit’s guidance to go forward. He has a deep passion for the youth of the nation, and much of his time is spent in Overflow, a ministry he and friend Jason Williams created three years ago directly aimed at the youth. He has removed all barriers of denomination. His desire is only that he be able to bring the lost into the Kingdom of God so that they can experience the forgiveness and wholeness that God offers to EVERYONE.

| To know Larry, to hear God speak through him, is an experience you will always remember. He understands your needs, your hang-ups, your anger, your hurt. God has given him the special ability to sense the needs of those who sit under his preaching. His soul desire through his preaching of God’s Word, is to make you whole again, to bring to pass what God has always desired in your life through knowing the Lord, Jesus Christ. |
